Who we are

This policy explains how Essential Peptides ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through essentialpeptides.com.au and by email. We're based in Melbourne, VIC. You can contact us at support@essentialpeptides.com.au.

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), where they apply to us.

What we collect

• Enquiries. When you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the content of your message and anything else you choose to include, such as a phone number. Contact form messages are stored by Wix.com on our behalf.
• Order details. If you go ahead with an order, we collect the details needed to supply it, such as your delivery address and phone number, by email.
• Email correspondence. Orders are arranged by email. We keep our email correspondence with you, including quotes and invoices, as business records.
• Website data. When you visit the site, our hosting provider collects technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit.

No online payments are taken on this website, and it has no user accounts or checkout, so we don't collect payment card details through it. Payment is made by bank transfer after we've confirmed your order by email; we see the payment details your bank passes on with the transfer, such as your name and reference.

How we use it

We use personal information to reply to enquiries, supply and deliver orders, keep business records we're required to keep, and run, secure and improve the website. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Website hosting and analytics

The website is hosted by Wix.com. Wix processes technical data about visits (as described above) to deliver the site, keep it secure and provide us with basic statistics about site traffic, and it may set cookies or similar technologies for these purposes. You can read how Wix handles data in the Wix Privacy Policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site should still work.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first service that doesn't use cookies or track you across sites, to count visits and see which pages are popular.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information where needed to run the business, for example with:

• our website host (Wix.com) and our email provider, which store data on our behalf;
• couriers or postal services, to deliver an order;
• professional advisers, or government bodies where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside Australia, for example in the United States.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we delete or de-identify it when we no longer need it.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing support@essentialpeptides.com.au. If you have a privacy complaint, please contact us first and we'll respond as soon as we can. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
